PRSSA Students Are Taking Over PRSA in October!

PR Experts & Journalist Panel: How Are Journalists and PR Professionals Really Adjusting to Social Media?

What is the future of journalism with bloggers, tweets and big news stories breaking over different mediums? Our panel will discuss how social media, like Twitter and Facebook, have changed how the two professions work together. The PR professionals will discuss how they are using social media to promote events, clients...etc. The journalists will discuss how social media has changed the way they conduct interviews, publish stories and interact with their audiences. The Future is Now.

Chapter Annual Meeting - Your Final Chance to Cast your Ballot
In addition to the exciting program on “Social Media,” the October 13 event provides the bonus of being our Chapter’s Annual Meeting. A final opportunity to cast a ballot will be available for those who had not yet voted for their favorite candidates for the 2010 officers and directors. Elections and Nominations Committee Chair Jeff Caponigro, APR, Fellow PRSA, will oversee the final balloting process, tabulate the results and announce the results at the October 13 event. Take advantage of the opportunity to vote in person (if you haven’t voted through email already) and be the first to learn who the chapter officers and directors will be for 2010.

The combination of the “Social Media” program with the Annual Meeting and elections process makes this the one must-attend Chapter event of the year.
